Late-Night Traffic Check Leads to Firearms and Drug Allegations in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PAWest Chester Police say a routine encounter with a parked vehicle earlier this month resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old Exton man after officers allegedly discovered firearms and drug-related items inside the car.

According to the department, officers were on patrol on November 9, 2025, when they observed an occupied vehicle in the 100 block of North Brandywine Street. The driver was identified as Juan Sanchez, described by police as a 22-year-old  from Exton.

During the investigation, officers determined that Sanchez was allegedly in possession of two concealed firearms without a permit. Police further report that he was found with marijuana and a substantial amount of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Sanchez was taken into custody at the scene and later transported to Chester County Prison. A preliminary hearing is pending.

The charges filed include:

  • Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License
  • Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession With Intent to Deliver Drug Paraphernalia

Police emphasize that all offenses described are allegations, and any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
