SPRING CITY, PA — The Spring City Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects connected to a motor vehicle theft that occurred in the early morning hours of August 31, 2025.
According to investigators, at approximately 2:53 a.m., two men dressed in black hooded sweatshirts, face coverings, and latex gloves attempted to break into a vehicle in the 200 block of Chestnut Street. Roughly twenty minutes later, at 3:15 a.m., a silver 2014 Kia Optima was stolen from a parking lot in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Police believe the same suspects were involved in both incidents. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in Pottstown on the same day. Authorities noted that additional incidents believed to be related are under investigation.
Spring City Police are encouraging residents who may have witnessed suspicious activity in these areas during the time of the thefts, or who may have security camera footage, to come forward.
The department emphasized the importance of community cooperation in solving cases of this nature, urging residents to lock vehicles, remove valuables, and report suspicious activity immediately.
Authorities stress that any suspect, arrestee, or defendant linked to this case is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
