WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police say a rapid response to a reported burglary in progress led to the arrest of a 43-year-old man on Sunday evening.
According to officials, officers from the Uniformed Services Division were dispatched at approximately 8:07 p.m. on November 16 to the 2100 block of North Madison Street after receiving a report of an active burglary in progress. Responding officers obtained a description of the suspect from individuals at the scene and immediately relayed that information to nearby units.
Police say that a short time later, officers in the 200 block of Concord Avenue encountered a man matching the provided description. Authorities reported that officers made contact with Michael Gross, who was taken into custody without incident.
Gross has been charged with third-degree burglary and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $4,000 unsecured bail.
All charges are allegations, and a suspect or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
