LANSDALE, PA — A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged early morning home invasion and assault in Lansdale that left a woman shaken but able to call for help, according to local authorities.

The incident unfolded around 2:22 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, when Lansdale Borough Police responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary in progress at a residence in the 300 block of Vine Street. The 32-year-old female resident told police she had been asleep when she awoke to find a man—whom she did not know—kneeling on top of her legs in her bed.

According to the police report, the suspect physically restrained the woman as she attempted to flee. He allegedly pushed her into the wall, then placed his hand around her neck, applying pressure to her throat. Police say the man later placed her in a chokehold, further restricting her ability to breathe. Despite the violent struggle, the victim eventually managed to escape the attacker and contact emergency services. The assailant reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived.
