PHILADELPHIA, PA — Federal prosecutors announced that a Lancaster man has been indicted on drug trafficking and firearm charges following an investigation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
United States Attorney David Metcalf stated that Dwain London Jr., 37, was taken into custody and charged by indictment with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to the indictment, London was found on May 14, 2025, in possession of more than 28 grams of crack cocaine, an additional amount of cocaine, and a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic handgun. Prosecutors allege that the firearm was connected to the drug trafficking activity and that London, as a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing it.
If convicted, London faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, with a maximum potential sentence of life imprisonment and fines of up to $5,500,000.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas M. Zaleski. Authorities emphasized that an indictment is a formal accusation and not proof of guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
