NEW CASTLE, DE — A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Labor Day at a Gulf gas station in New Castle, according to Delaware State Police.
On September 1, 2025, at approximately 12:22 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the Gulf station at 752 West Basin Road after reports of a robbery. Investigators said a suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash from the register. The employee complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.
Following investigative leads, detectives identified the suspect as Hasan Gordon, 21, of New Castle. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and on September 7, 2025, Gordon was located by the Wilmington Police Department. Authorities reported he was taken into custody without incident.
Gordon has been charged with:
- Robbery First Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $120,000 secured bond.
Officials stressed that the charges remain allegations only. Gordon, like any defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate the case.
