KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a violent robbery that occurred at the King of Prussia Mall.

According to the Upper Merion Police Department, the incident took place on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the DIESEL store located inside the mall at 160 N. Gulph Road.

Investigators say a young female suspect allegedly stole several purses from the store and attempted to flee. When a store employee tried to stop her, the suspect reportedly struck the employee in the head and sprayed them with a chemical agent believed to be pepper spray or bear repellant.

Police report that the suspect ran toward the main mall entrance near Neiman Marcus as the employee gave chase, but the suspect allegedly sprayed them again. The employee was treated at the scene for exposure and did not require further medical care.

The suspect was then seen running to a waiting silver car, which authorities say was later recovered after another attempted robbery in Collegeville, PA. Investigators determined the vehicle had been reported stolen a few days earlier from Horsham, PA. Two juvenile males were taken into custody following the Collegeville incident; however, police do not believe they were involved in the spraying of the mall employee.

The suspect in the King of Prussia case is described as a Black female, approximately 16 to 20 years old, wearing all black clothing, a black balaclava ski mask, and black and grey sneakers. Authorities noted the suspect’s distinctive running style captured in surveillance video.

Law enforcement officials emphasize that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
