Justice Served: Key Player in State College Drug Ring Convicted for Pushing Deadly Drugs

Court News

HARRISBURG, PA — A Centre County jury this week convicted 51-year-old Larry Brickhouse of State College on multiple felony charges for his involvement in a high-level drug trafficking organization. The conviction followed a three-day trial and stemmed from a presentment by the 48th Statewide Investigating Grand Jury.

Brickhouse was found guilty of felony possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, and criminal use of a communication facility. He remains in custody at Centre County Prison pending sentencing, scheduled for July 11.

“This defendant played a major role in distributing deadly drugs throughout Centre County,” said Attorney General Dave Sunday. “Thanks to the jury’s thoughtful verdict and the relentless work of prosecutors and investigators, this trafficker’s time pushing poisons into our neighborhoods has ended.”

Evidence presented during the trial revealed that Brickhouse worked alongside the organization’s leader, Larry David, in distributing methamphetamine and heroin/fentanyl from New Jersey into the State College area. Prosecutors submitted evidence, including controlled drug buys, search warrants, recorded communications, and wiretapped conversations as part of their case.

This conviction is part of a broader crackdown on the trafficking network, with 12 individuals, including Brickhouse and David, charged for their involvement. David, the network’s leader, is deceased.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General David C. Gorman of the Drug Strike Force Section.
