KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected in a series of alleged package thefts at the Parkside Apartment Complex, where residents have reported multiple incidents over the past several weeks.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, the suspect has been targeting packages left unattended in the lobby of the building, located in the 500 block of East Cypress Street. Authorities describe the individual as a Black male wearing black-framed glasses. His age is currently unknown, and investigators believe he may live in the building.

Residents told police that stolen packages were sometimes opened, with unwanted contents discarded on the steps or in nearby areas outside the complex. The department released an image of the suspect and is urging anyone who recognizes him—or who believes they were a victim of package theft—to contact the investigating officer at cdantonio@kennettsquarepolice.org or submit a tip through the department’s reporting system.

With the holiday season underway, police are encouraging residents to take extra precautions to safeguard deliveries. Suggested steps include requiring signatures upon delivery, picking up packages at designated locations, arranging holds at post offices or delivery centers, and installing surveillance cameras to monitor entryways.

The Kennett Square Police Department emphasized its commitment to working closely with the community to prevent and investigate thefts of this kind. Officers noted that public cooperation is essential in identifying suspects and resolving cases.

All individuals suspected of wrongdoing are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
