LANSDALE, PA — A Lansdale man is facing multiple felony charges following a hit-and-run crash that left an adult and a juvenile injured, including a child who required emergency surgery, authorities said.

According to the Lansdale Borough Police Department, Nazear Newton, 26, of Lansdale, was charged on February 4 in connection with a motor vehicle crash that occurred on January 30 at approximately 9:07 a.m. at the intersection of South Cannon Avenue and Delaware Avenue.

Investigators allege that Newton, who was not licensed to drive, was traveling eastbound on Delaware Avenue when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign at South Cannon Avenue. Police said his vehicle struck a Subaru Outback that was traveling northbound through the intersection.
