Halloween Confrontation: Police Seek Suspect After Alleged Armed Threat at Walmart

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly threatened a Pennsylvania State Constable and an Asset Protection officer with a handgun during a confrontation inside a Northeast Philadelphia Walmart on Halloween night.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred on October 31, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m. at the Walmart located at 9745 Roosevelt Boulevard. Investigators say the male suspect had been stopped for an alleged retail theft and was escorted to the store’s Asset Protection office for further inquiry.

Once inside the office, police report that the individual became uncooperative. Officials allege that he produced a handgun and stated, “Let me go or I’ll shoot you,” before fleeing the scene. The suspect then exited the building and entered a black station wagon, which sped away from the area.

Detectives are reviewing video footage and are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect to come forward. The department notes that all allegations remain under investigation and that any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
