UPPER CHICHESTER, PA — Police arrested a 21-year-old man Saturday afternoon after an alleged confrontation involving a firearm outside the football stadium at Chichester High School.
According to the Upper Chichester Township Police Department, Detective Dominic Venuti and Sergeant Christopher Jones responded to a reported disturbance at approximately 12:54 p.m. on September 27. Officers observed a verbal dispute between the defendant, identified as Quadir Blackwell, and a juvenile victim.
Investigators allege Blackwell reached into his waistband, produced a black semi-automatic handgun, and pointed it at the juvenile. When confronted by officers, Blackwell reportedly claimed to possess a permit and complied briefly, before allegedly drawing the firearm a second time and pointing it toward police.
Blackwell was ordered to the ground and taken into custody. A subsequent search of the immediate area uncovered a red “Lackawanna College Football” bag, which police say contained an AK-47 style pistol with a loaded magazine, an additional loaded handgun magazine, and a bottle of Promethazine.
Blackwell has been charged with possessing a weapon on school property, aggravated assault, and possession of a controlled substance without authorization. He was arrested on September 27, 2025.
All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
