Glenside Man Arrested in Alleged Retail Theft at Warrington Wegmans

WARRINGTON, PA — A Montgomery County man has been arrested following an alleged retail theft at a Warrington Township grocery store earlier this month, according to police.

Authorities say that on October 14, 2025, officers from the Warrington Township Police Department responded to the Wegmans located at 1405 Main Street for a report of a theft in progress. Loss prevention staff reported observing a man, later identified as 56-year-old Scott Keith Montgomery of Glenside, concealing multiple boxes of health and beauty products in his pockets before exiting the store without paying.

Police stated that officers approached Montgomery as he left the building and escorted him to the store’s loss prevention office, where he allegedly removed the concealed merchandise from his pockets. The total value of the recovered items was $264.34.

Montgomery was placed under arrest, transported to the police station, and later released following processing. He has been charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.

All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
