From Cookies to Court: Police Charge Woman With Forgery, Theft in Exton

EXTON, PAWest Whiteland Township Police have arrested a 20-year-old woman in connection with an alleged counterfeit currency case at a business along Lincoln Highway.

Authorities said Ahmirah Janiyah Felder was taken into custody on September 3, 2025, following an investigation into an incident at Insomnia Cookies, located at 349 East Lincoln Highway in Exton.

Felder has been charged with multiple offenses, including:

  • Forgery
  • Theft by Deception – False Impression
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking
  • Receiving Stolen Property

Police reported that Felder was processed following her arrest. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled at the appropriate district court.

Officials emphasized that all charges are allegations at this stage, and Felder, like any defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The West Whiteland Police Department has not released additional details about the circumstances of the alleged offense but confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
