Four Men Sentenced for Illegal Reentry After Prior Deportations in Eastern Pennsylvania

Court News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — United States Attorney David Metcalf announced that four men were sentenced this week in separate cases after being convicted of illegally reentering the United States following prior deportations. The prosecutions highlight ongoing federal enforcement efforts aimed at addressing repeat violations of U.S. immigration laws.

Rodriguez-Martinez Sentenced to Time Served

Kevin Emmanuel Rodriguez-Martinez, 32, a Honduran national, was sentenced on August 28 by U.S. District Judge Catherine Henry to time served, amounting to just over two months in custody. He will be removed from the United States once again.

Rodriguez-Martinez had previously been removed from the country in September 2011 and November 2012 after encounters with the U.S. Border Patrol in Texas. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) learned in May 2025 that he had returned illegally. In June, HSI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents located him in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and placed him in custody. He was charged later that month and pleaded guilty this week.

Guevara-Guevara Receives Time Served

Osman Guevara-Guevara, 35, also a Honduran national, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Leeson Jr. to time served, roughly two and a half months. Like Rodriguez-Martinez, he will be removed from the U.S. following his sentence.

Guevara-Guevara was first removed in April 2012 after being arrested near Seattle, Washington. He illegally returned and was arrested again in March 2013 in southern Texas before being deported for a second time in April 2013.

Earlier this year, ICE discovered he had entered the country a third time after his arrest by the Phoenixville Police Department. He was taken into custody in June, indicted in July, and pleaded guilty this week.

Miles Sentenced to Eight Months

Jorge Miles, 30, a Mexican national, received an eight-month prison sentence from U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Costello on Tuesday for illegally reentering the United States.

Miles was removed in March 2014 following a robbery conviction stemming from an arrest by the East Norriton Township Police Department. He returned illegally at an unknown date and was arrested again in February 2025 by the West Whiteland Township Police Department. ICE took him into custody shortly afterward. He was indicted in April and pleaded guilty in May.

Bonilla-Bonilla Sentenced to Time Served

Yobani Bonilla-Bonilla, also known as Gilberto Perez Alvarado, 40, a Honduran national, was sentenced on Monday by Judge Henry to time served, nearly two months. He, too, will be deported.

Bonilla-Bonilla was first removed in June 2015 after being apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol in Texas. Earlier this year, ICE received information that he was living in Easton, Pennsylvania, and learned of an active arrest warrant for him in Honduras.

In June, ICE agents, with assistance from HSI and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), took him into custody. He was indicted in July and pleaded guilty this week.

Coordinated Federal Effort

The cases were investigated by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the DEA. Prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Rosalynda M. Michetti, Rebecca Kulik, and Shayna Gannone.
