Former Longtime Teacher Pleads Guilty in Federal Child Pornography Case

Court News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A longtime Bucks County middle school teacher pleaded guilty in federal court to child pornography charges that prosecutors say involved graphic images of minors, including children under the age of 12, marking a stunning collapse for an educator who spent nearly four decades in the classroom.

Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, entered a guilty plea before United States District Judge Gerald J. Pappert to one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, according to an announcement by United States Attorney David Metcalf.

Federal prosecutors said Adamsky was indicted in September 2025 after investigators determined that he knowingly received visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024. Authorities further alleged that Adamsky possessed two computers and two flash drives containing illicit material involving minors, including prepubescent children.

At the time of his arrest, Adamsky was employed as a seventh- and eighth-grade teacher at Nativity of Our Lord grade school in Warminster, where he had taught for 38 years, a tenure that placed him in daily contact with children similar in age to those depicted in the material cited by prosecutors.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Philadelphia Division through its Fort Washington Resident Agency, in coordination with the Warminster Township Police Department, Upper Merion Township Police Department, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Maureen McCartney.
