Five People Shot in Wilmington’s East Side as Police Launch Investigation

WILMINGTON, DE — Police are investigating a shooting that left five people wounded late Friday night in Wilmington’s East Side neighborhood.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:06 p.m. in the 400 block of East 4th Street. Responding officers discovered five victims — a 35-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man, a 56-year-old man, and a 60-year-old man — each suffering from gunshot wounds.

All five victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were listed in stable condition. Authorities have not yet released information on possible suspects or motives.
