Five Men Charged in Connection With Assault in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PAWest Chester Police have charged five men in connection with an assault that occurred in the early morning hours of August 24, 2025, in the borough’s downtown district.

Authorities reported that officers responded at approximately 2:09 a.m. to the 50 block of West Gay Street after receiving reports of an assault. Upon arrival, police located two victims who had sustained visible injuries. Both were transported to a hospital by emergency medical services for treatment.

An investigation was launched at the scene, and officers worked quickly to identify the individuals allegedly involved. Detectives later named five suspects: 29-year-old Dareis Lockman of Parkesburg; 27-year-old Noah Norman of Downingtown; 23-year-old Kenario Davidson of Montgomery, Alabama; 24-year-old Dapree Bryant of Coatesville; and 25-year-old Dante Thompson, also of Coatesville. Arrest warrants were obtained for all five men.

Police said several of the suspects later surrendered to authorities. On September 15, Bryant turned himself in at the West Chester Police Station. On September 16, Thompson also surrendered at the station. Lockman turned himself in to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office on September 22. Each was processed and transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment.

Charges filed against the suspects include aggravated assault, riot, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, harassment, and criminal conspiracy.

As of the latest update, Norman and Davidson have been identified as wanted in connection with the case.

All charges remain allegations. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
