Felony Warrant Issued After Chase, Crash, and Foot Escape in Parkesburg

PARKESBURG, PA — Parkesburg Borough Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 24-year-old man wanted on a felony arrest warrant following an alleged traffic pursuit and crash late last year.

According to the Parkesburg Borough Police Department, the incident occurred on December 12, 2025, in the 100 block of West First Avenue. Police said an officer initiated a traffic stop after observing a violation, but the vehicle’s operator allegedly fled. During the pursuit, the vehicle reportedly struck a parked car, after which the driver fled the scene on foot.

Through their investigation, police identified the driver as Omere Nayshon Peoples, 24. Authorities said they further confirmed that Peoples has several other active warrants for his arrest.

A felony arrest warrant was issued for Peoples on January 2, 2026, by District Court 15-3-07 under docket number MJ-15307-CR-0000002-2026. He is wanted on charges including flight to avoid apprehension and related offenses.

Police described Peoples as a Black male, approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
