PHILADELPHIA, PA — Celeste Ramirez, a 44-year-old former corrections officer from Brooklyn, New York, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography. The sentence was imposed by United States District Judge Jeffrey L. Schmehl on Wednesday, June 25. Ramirez was also ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release, pay $38,000 in restitution, and comply with federal and state sex offender registration requirements under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).
Ramirez pleaded guilty in March 2025 to charges stemming from her distribution of child pornography using the Telegram messaging app. Court documents reveal that in February 2022, she shared six videos depicting the sexual abuse of children with another individual, identified as Person 1, who was located in Easton, Pennsylvania.
The investigation began after Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) received a CyberTip in 2022 concerning Person 1’s distribution of child pornography via Snapchat. Person 1 later admitted to receiving such content from Ramirez, known online as “CeCe.” A search warrant executed at Ramirez’s residence in November 2022 uncovered hundreds of videos of child pornography on her phone. Evidence also showed that Ramirez engaged with several others online for the purpose of distributing and receiving explicit material involving minors.
Among her accomplices, Ramirez communicated with Cleveland Dewayne Chambers, who shared explicit images created by another individual, Raven Pointer. Chambers and Ramirez discussed the content and directed the creation of additional explicit materials. Both Chambers and Pointer have been charged in separate cases.
The case was investigated by Pennsylvania State Police and Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney Priya De Souza prosecuted the case, highlighting the collaborative effort of federal and state agencies in bringing Ramirez to justice.
