WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police are investigating a shooting that unfolded early Monday evening at a busy city intersection, sending an 18-year-old man to the hospital and leaving unanswered questions in its wake.

Authorities said the incident occurred at approximately 6:43 p.m. in the area of West 7th and North Adams streets. Police reported that an 18-year-old male gunshot victim later arrived at a local hospital, where he was treated and listed in stable condition.

Investigators have not released details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including what may have led up to the gunfire or whether any suspects have been identified. Police said the matter remains an active investigation and that additional information will be released when it becomes available.
