HARRISBURG, PA — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced Thursday that an Allentown man is facing a series of serious charges after law enforcement agents seized over six kilograms of cocaine, multiple firearms, and large sums of cash during an extensive investigation.

Angel F. Gil, 32, was charged on July 10 with felony drug-trafficking offenses and six counts of possession of a prohibited firearm. According to authorities, Gil has prior felony convictions related to drug trafficking and firearm possession, making these latest allegations particularly significant.

The Bureau of Narcotics Investigations within the Office of Attorney General had been monitoring Gil’s activities as part of a long-term probe into cocaine distribution networks operating in Lehigh and Northampton counties.

On Wednesday, officers executed search warrants at two residences — one on Greenleaf Street in Allentown and another on Bangor Road in Nazareth — as well as on two vehicles connected to Gil. Inside the residences, agents recovered three handguns, a kilogram of cocaine, and undisclosed amounts of cash.

Further searches of Gil’s vehicles uncovered an additional five kilograms of cocaine cleverly concealed in modified console compartments, two more handguns, a ghost gun equipped with a high-capacity magazine, ammunition, and approximately $35,000 in cash.

Attorney General Sunday praised the collaboration among agencies, stating that Gil was a “dangerous, high-level cocaine trafficker” whose removal from the streets would enhance community safety. The operation was carried out with the support of the Allentown Police Department, Slate Belt Regional Police Department, and Emmaus Police Department’s K-9 Unit.
