HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A 20-year-old man is facing multiple traffic-related charges following an alleged hit-and-run collision earlier this month in Lower Moreland Township, according to police.

Authorities said that on Sunday, September 7, 2025, officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Philmont Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle crash. Investigators determined that one of the drivers involved fled the scene following the collision.

Police said the investigation revealed that a male driver, identified as Yasin Abdel-Hamid, was traveling southbound on Philmont Avenue when his vehicle struck another car attempting to turn left into a parking lot. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were rendered inoperable as a result of the crash.

Abdel-Hamid was later located approximately 0.3 miles from the scene, in a nearby parking lot. Investigators allege he drove away from the crash site without stopping to provide his information or render aid, as required by law.

Abdel-Hamid has been charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, reckless driving, careless driving, disregarding a traffic lane, and failure to keep right.

All charges are allegations, and a suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
