Driver Accused of 94 MPH Chase With Child in Car

MOHNTON, PA — A 37-year-old man is facing charges after police said he was clocked driving nearly 95 mph in a 40 mph zone and allegedly failed to stop immediately while a child was in the vehicle.

According to Robeson Township Police, an officer conducting a speed enforcement detail on Kurtz Mill Road on March 7, 2026, recorded a vehicle traveling 94.9 mph in a posted 40 mph zone.

Police reported the officer pulled out from a stationary position to catch up to the vehicle and activated emergency lights and siren. Several vehicles between the patrol unit and the driver pulled over, but the driver, identified as Daniel S. Fry, allegedly continued south on Morgantown Road before stopping in the 3700 block.

According to police, a young child was seated in the rear of the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Authorities said Fry has been charged with recklessly endangering another person, along with multiple vehicle code violations.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
