NEW CASTLE, DEDelaware State Police have arrested a Dover woman in connection with a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning on North DuPont Highway.

Investigators say the collision happened around 1:00 a.m. on November 15, 2025, when a Kenworth tractor-trailer was traveling southbound near Christiana Road. At the same time, a Lexus ES 350 approached from behind and, according to the preliminary investigation, failed to slow down before striking the rear of the trailer.

The impact caused the Lexus to spin, cross a raised concrete median, and collide with a traffic sign. A 36-year-old passenger from New Castle was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are withholding her name until family members are notified.
