Delaware State Police Investigate Knifepoint Robbery in Wilmington Kohl’s Parking Lot

WILMINGTON, DEDelaware State Police are investigating a knifepoint robbery that occurred Wednesday evening in the parking lot of a Kohl’s store in Wilmington.

According to investigators, the incident took place on August 20, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m. when troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at 4437 Kirkwood Highway.

The preliminary investigation revealed that an unidentified male suspect allegedly approached a woman as she sat in her vehicle, opened her car door, and demanded her property while pointing a knife at her. Police say the victim complied with the suspect’s demands. She was not injured during the incident.

Authorities report that the suspect fled the scene in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck headed toward Kirkwood Highway.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a ski mask, a dark-colored T-shirt, and dark pants at the time of the robbery. No surveillance footage or images of the suspect are currently available.
