Crash, Medical Emergency, and Theft Reported in Wyomissing

WYOMISSING, PA — Police responded to a series of incidents Sunday, March 8, including a crash with injuries, a reported theft, and a medical emergency, according to Wyomissing police.

At 12:17 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Penn Avenue near State Hill Road for a lane movement violation. Police reported the driver was warned.

At 1:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to East Park Road for a cardiac arrest. According to police, a male was transported to Reading Hospital by EMS.

Police conducted another traffic stop at 3:05 a.m. on Penn Avenue near Lake Avenue for a lane violation, and the driver was warned, investigators said.

At 3:38 a.m., officers responded to Woodland Road for a 911 hang-up call. Police reported the area was checked and no emergency was found.

At 8:41 a.m., officers responded to a reportable crash on Ramp O near Route 12. According to authorities, a single vehicle struck a barrier and the driver was transported to a hospital. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police were dispatched at 1:05 p.m. to Penn Avenue for a disorderly conduct report, but investigators said those involved had left prior to arrival.

At 3:29 p.m., officers responded to Woodland Road for a 911 hang-up. Police reported employees at the location were unaware of any issues.

At 4:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to Wyomissing Hills Boulevard for a reported theft from a building. According to investigators, a complainant reported lawn tools were taken from a shed.

At 6:18 p.m., police responded to Cherrywood Road for an ongoing neighbor dispute. Authorities said the incident was documented.

At 7:33 p.m., officers assisted a disabled vehicle on Route 422 near Ramp L and provided traffic control until the operator was able to change a tire, police reported.

At 8:12 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Route 422 near North Wyomissing Boulevard after observing a motorcycle allegedly performing unsafe maneuvers. According to police, the operator was cited for violations including suspended license and expired registration.

Additional traffic enforcement throughout the evening resulted in multiple citations and warnings on State Hill Road, Museum Road, Woodland Road, and Penn Avenue for violations including expired registration, traffic signal violations, and improper equipment, police said.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
