WYOMISSING, PA — Wyomissing Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man linked to an allegation involving counterfeit money used during the purchase of a television at a local Walmart.
According to the department, the incident occurred at the Walmart located at 1135 Berkshire Boulevard, where a customer reportedly used fake currency to complete the transaction. Investigators released an image of the individual they believe may have information relevant to the case.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the person to contact the Wyomissing Police Department at 610-375-6102. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through Crime Alert Berks by calling 877-373-9913 or by texting 847411 with the keyword “ALERTBERKS,” followed by the message. Officials ask that tipsters reference assignment number 39-25-8175 when providing information.
Police note that all allegations remain under investigation. A suspect or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
