Cold Case Killing of 26-Year-Old Remains Unsolved

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police are seeking the public’s assistance in connection with the 2009 fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man in the city.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded at approximately 2:41 a.m. July 18, 2009, to the 300 block of West 27th Street for a reported shooting. Police stated they located 26-year-old Stepfon Ashley suffering from a gunshot wound. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The case remains under investigation by the department’s Cold Case Unit, police said.
