Claymont Man Arrested on Drug Allegations in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — A Claymont man has been arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses following an operation conducted by the Wilmington Police Department.

On June 24, 2025, at approximately 12:07 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division observed suspected drug activity involving a male in the 800 block of Spruce Street. The individual later entered a vehicle and left the area. Officers initiated a traffic stop shortly thereafter in the 200 block of South Heald Street.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Quadire Jackson of Claymont, was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers reportedly recovered 10.26 grams of methamphetamine.

Jackson has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity

He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and subsequently committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, pending further legal proceedings.

Officials emphasize that Jackson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Further updates are anticipated as the case moves forward.
