MORGANTOWN, PA — Caernarvon Township Police have charged a 71-year-old man after officers recovered two stolen clay flower pots taken from a local business earlier this fall.
According to police, officers were dispatched at 9:38 a.m. on October 16, 2025, to the Joanna Store, located at 1102 Elverson Road, for a reported theft. The store owners told officers that two clay flower pots, valued at $175.00, had been stolen from the front of the business on October 1.
The owners identified the suspect as Joseph Lipnicki, 71, and officers later contacted him by phone. Police say Lipnicki admitted to taking the pots. Officers then responded to his residence, where they located both flower pots inside the trunk of his vehicle. The items were returned to the store owners.
Lipnicki was arrested on November 25, 2025, and charged with theft.
Authorities emphasize that all offenses described are allegations, and any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
