CCTV Footage Triggers Retail Theft Case at Morgantown Walmart

MORGANTOWN, PA — Authorities in Caernarvon Township say a February retail theft at the local Walmart has resulted in charges against a 21-year-old Upper Black Eddy man following a months-long investigation.

According to police, the incident occurred on February 21, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m. at the Walmart located at 100 Crossings Boulevard. Investigators allege that two male suspects entered the store and removed several items — including a dash camera, a Bluetooth speaker, and multiple power tools — with a total estimated value of $758.87. Surveillance footage reportedly showed the pair exiting the store without paying.

Police identified one of the suspects as Hayden Szyszko, 21, and announced that a summons has been requested for him to answer to retail theft allegations. The second male suspect has not been publicly identified, and the investigation remains active.

Authorities noted that Szyszko’s arrest is listed as occurring on November 18, 2025.

All charges are allegations, and every suspect or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
