Brothers Charged in Pittsburgh Drug, Firearms Investigation

HARRISBURG, PA — Two Pittsburgh-area brothers are facing felony charges following a drug trafficking investigation that authorities say uncovered fentanyl, crack cocaine, and firearms at a residence in Allegheny County.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that Rodney Howard, 60, and Andre Howard, 62, were charged after agents from the Office of Attorney General executed a search warrant at their home on Shetland Street with assistance from Ross Township police, Robinson Township police, and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office.

According to investigators, law enforcement seized multiple controlled substances and firearms during the search.

Authorities reported the items recovered included approximately 1,200 fentanyl pills, 15 bricks of fentanyl, 13 grams of raw fentanyl, about 300 grams of crack cocaine, 16 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and approximately 450 grams of marijuana.

Investigators also reported seizing three firearms from the residence, including a Ruger 57 handgun, a Lorcin .380 handgun, and an FMJ Duckton .410 shotgun.

Police said $2,284 in cash was also recovered during the investigation.

According to officials, Rodney Howard’s bail was set at $50,000 cash and Andre Howard’s bail was set at $10,000 cash.

Authorities said the cases will be prosecuted by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
