WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on the afternoon of May 21, 2025, targeting a guard of a Loomis armored transport vehicle.
Around 12:38 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Restaurant Depot located at 200 Cornell Drive after receiving a report of an armed robbery. According to preliminary findings, three unidentified suspects, described as Black males, confronted the guard while he was returning to the vehicle carrying a cash bag.
One of the suspects allegedly brandished a firearm while another disarmed the guard and seized the cash bag. Attempts were made to access the armored transport vehicle, but the suspects were unsuccessful in entering the vehicle, which was occupied by a second Loomis guard.
The suspects fled the scene, with one escaping in a dark-colored Nissan SUV carrying an undisclosed amount of money, while the other two fled on foot toward Hastie Drive. None of the guards sustained injuries during the incident.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and have stated that the suspects may still be armed. Surveillance video or images of the suspects are not currently available.

Officials emphasize that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
