Bizarre Early-Morning Porch Incident Caught on Camera in Oxford Neighborhood

OXFORD, PA — Oxford police are asking for the public’s help after a suspicious early-morning encounter was captured on a residential security camera in the borough, an incident investigators say remains under active review.

According to the Oxford Police Department, officers are seeking to identify a suspect recorded on a front porch camera in the 500 block of Hodgson Street at approximately 4:00 a.m. on February 3, 2026. Police described the individual as a young Hispanic adult male wearing a distinctive red Chicago Bulls hooded sweatshirt.

Authorities allege the video shows the male walking onto the victim’s porch and reaching up to unscrew a porch light bulb before leaving the area. No arrests have been made, and police have not released information indicating whether additional property damage or theft was reported.

The incident is classified as a criminal investigation and is listed as an active case under reference number OP-26-00578. Detectives are reviewing the footage and are urging anyone who may recognize the individual or who has information related to the incident to come forward.

Police emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and that any behavior depicted in the video has not been adjudicated in court. As with all criminal matters, a suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
