BENSALEM, PA — A Bethlehem man has been charged in connection with an undercover investigation into alleged attempts to exploit a minor online, the Bensalem Police Department announced.

Authorities said the investigation began on September 6, 2025, when 31-year-old David Sheregi allegedly initiated contact with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl on a social media application. According to investigators, the conversation quickly became sexual in nature. Sheregi is accused of sending inappropriate images, requesting illicit photographs, and making arrangements to meet for sexual activity.

Police allege that Sheregi also referenced involving another adult male and provided additional images during the communications. Detectives emphasized that no child was ever in danger during the course of the investigation, which was conducted entirely by law enforcement.
