Best Buy Bandit? Police Hunt Suspect in Brazen North Wales Theft

NORTH WALES, PA — Montgomery Township police are asking for the public’s help to identify a person they allege may be connected to a retail theft at a major electronics store just days before Christmas.

According to the Montgomery Township Police Department, investigators are seeking to identify an individual believed to be involved in the alleged theft of merchandise from the Best Buy located at 801 Bethlehem Pike in North Wales. The incident was reported to have occurred on December 23, 2025, at the busy retail location in Montgomery County.

Police released images of the individual in hopes that someone in the community may recognize the person and provide information that could assist in the investigation. Authorities have not disclosed what items were allegedly taken or the value of the merchandise.

Detective DePolo is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information about the individual’s identity or whereabouts to contact him directly at 215-362-2301. Tips may also be submitted through the CRIMEWATCH online reporting system.

The case remains an open investigation, and any individual who may be identified as a suspect or later charged is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
