SINKING SPRING, PA — Authorities in Berks County have charged a 23-year-old man in connection with an alleged fraud case involving forged documents, stolen identity information, and financial deception at a Fulton Bank branch in Sinking Spring.
According to the Spring Township Police Department, the investigation began on June 11, 2025, following a reported incident at the bank located at 2677 Shillington Road. Over the course of the inquiry, detectives allege that Aaliem Richardson, of Berks County, used fraudulent means to unlawfully obtain property and services.
Following the investigation, police formally charged Richardson on July 1 with multiple offenses, including forgery, access device fraud, identity theft, theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.
Authorities have not disclosed the total value of the property allegedly taken or the specific methods used in the fraud. The case remains under investigation.
Richardson was taken into custody in connection with the charges. As in all criminal proceedings, it is important to emphasize that a suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
