Atglen Man Facing Child Endangerment and Drug Charges After Police Search

PARKESBURG, PA — Authorities have filed criminal charges against an Atglen Borough man following the execution of a search warrant that police say uncovered drugs and other evidence of potential child endangerment.

According to the Parkesburg Borough Police Department, 43-year-old Angelo John Tropea Jr. is facing multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a dangerous drug, after officers conducted a court-authorized search of a residence located in the 400 block of Valley Avenue in Atglen on July 1, 2025.

Police have not released specific details about what was discovered during the search or the circumstances that led to the warrant.

Tropea will face a preliminary hearing at Magisterial District Court 15-3-07. The date of the hearing has not yet been announced.
