WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police are searching for a masked man they allege carried out an armed robbery at a convenience store in north Wilmington early Tuesday morning.
Troopers were dispatched at approximately 2:40 a.m. on January 13, 2026, to the 7-Eleven located at 2100 Foulk Road after receiving a report of a robbery in progress. According to investigators, an unknown male entered the store, approached a clerk while displaying what appeared to be a firearm, and demanded money.
Police allege the employee did not comply with the demand. The suspect then removed cash from the register along with several packs of cigarettes and fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Responding troopers canvassed the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect. The individual was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, gloves, a light-colored backpack, and a face mask. Authorities said surveillance video and still images were not yet available at the time of the release.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing to examine the case. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information that could assist the investigation to contact Detective B. Timmons at 302-365-8434. The robbery and all related details remain allegations as the investigation continues, and any individual who may later be identified as a suspect is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
