Armed Duo Allegedly Steals Pizza From Delivery Driver on Wharton Street

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are searching for two suspects accused of robbing a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint early Sunday morning in South Philadelphia.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred around 1:25 a.m. on November 9, 2025, in the 1200 block of Wharton Street. The victim was attempting to locate the delivery address when a woman approached, claimed the order was hers, and took the pizza.

Investigators said a second suspect then pulled out a firearm, pointed it at the delivery driver, and demanded, “Give up the food!” Both suspects fled eastbound on Wharton Street with the stolen pizza.

Police have not released descriptions of the suspects but are urging anyone with information to contact the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013 or 215-686-3014.

Authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
