WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have announced the arrest of two men following a detailed investigation into alleged firearms offenses and the production of counterfeit license plates.
The investigation, conducted by the Special Operations Division Traffic Unit, targeted 20-year-old Meccour Redden and 34-year-old Ralph Tucker. Authorities allege that both individuals were involved in creating and distributing fictitious temporary license plates, prompting further scrutiny.
On May 9, 2025, at approximately 11:33 a.m., a search warrant was executed at a residence on the unit block of Glenrock Drive in Claymont, Delaware. Police report taking Redden and Tucker into custody without incident. During the search, officers reportedly recovered a 9mm handgun and a .25 caliber handgun.
Both suspects now face multiple charges in connection with the evidence recovered and the investigation.
Charges
- Meccour Redden has been charged with three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and subsequently committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $15,000 cash-only bail.
- Ralph Tucker also faces three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, along with charges for breach of release and resisting arrest. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $63,000 cash-only bail.
Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the alleged production of counterfeit license plates but emphasized the ongoing nature of their investigations into criminal activity within the area.
