MORGANTOWN, PA — A man is facing charges after police said a dispute over change at a Berks County convenience store escalated into an alleged assault on an employee.
According to Caernarvon Township Police, officers responded January 16 at approximately 5:01 p.m. to Sheetz, 3830 Main Street, for a report of a disorderly customer.
Police reported that the man allegedly argued with staff over incorrect change and began yelling at employees.

Authorities said surveillance footage allegedly showed the man yelling, throwing the item, and leaving the store in a silver Ford pickup truck with a modified bed cap.
Police reported the vehicle was registered to 60-year-old Salvador Contreras-Guardian, who was allegedly identified as the suspect through comparison with his Pennsylvania driver’s license photo.
According to police, Contreras-Guardian’s operating privileges are currently suspended, and he has prior convictions related to driving under suspension.
Authorities said charges of disorderly conduct, harassment, and driving under suspension are pending. Police reported an arrest date of March 5.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
