HARRISBURG, PA — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced felony charges this week against two Western Pennsylvania men following separate investigations into alleged child sexual abuse material offenses, both involving the use of artificially generated imagery.
According to the Office of Attorney General, 62-year-old Kenneth C. Klink of Beaver Falls has been charged with 66 felony counts related to the possession of illicit files, including images authorities allege he digitally manipulated to depict himself engaging in criminal acts involving minors. Klink was recently arraigned, and his bail was set at $500,000 cash.
In a second case, investigators charged 43-year-old Joshua J. Crockett of Vestaburg with 33 felony counts for the alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. Authorities say one of the recovered files was artificially generated. Crockett was arraigned and given a $750,000 cash bail.
“Both of these cases involved proactive investigations by our agents that uncovered vile materials depicting children being abused,” Attorney General Sunday said in a statement. “These cases illustrate the horrific side of modern technology, with one defendant sharing files online and the other defendant using AI technology to depict himself committing heinous acts.”
The Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section initiated both investigations after receiving tips that led to search warrants and the seizure of electronic devices. Authorities say forensic reviews revealed the alleged illegal material.
State prosecutors note that Pennsylvania criminalized artificially generated child sexual abuse material in December 2024. Since then, the Office of Attorney General has charged six individuals under the new statute.
The cases will be prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Angela Raver and Deputy Attorney General Alison Bragle.
All charges are allegations, and any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
