WARRINGTON, PA — A 42-year-old Abington man has been arrested following an alleged disturbance involving a firearm at the Regal Cinema in Warrington Township earlier this month.
According to the Warrington Township Police Department, officers responded to the theater, located at 104 Easton Road, on October 3, 2025, after receiving reports of yelling and a possible disturbance inside one of the auditoriums.
Upon arrival, police spoke with several witnesses who alleged that another patron, later identified as Esra Jesse Wallace, had become agitated during the movie and shouted at nearby individuals to “shut up.” The situation reportedly escalated into a verbal altercation during which Wallace allegedly lifted his shirt and revealed a firearm in his waistband.
Police said a theater manager approached Wallace, who allegedly warned the manager not to come closer while again grabbing at his waistband. Wallace then exited the theater, followed by an employee. He allegedly entered his vehicle and sped away, nearly striking the employee as he fled the parking lot.
Horsham Police later located and detained Wallace during a traffic stop on Horsham Road. Warrington officers took him into custody and transported both Wallace and his vehicle to the Warrington Township Police Department for processing. After refusing consent for a vehicle search, a search warrant was obtained, and investigators later recovered a handgun from the vehicle.
Wallace was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Wertman, who set bail at $50,000, or 10 percent cash. Unable to post bail, he was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
He has been charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
All charges are allegations, and every defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
