WILMINGTON, DE — A 54-year-old man was taken into custody following a search warrant execution tied to a firearm investigation, according to Wilmington Police.
Police reported that at approximately 7:00 a.m. on April 2, members of the Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant in the 900 block of East 17th Street.
According to investigators, officers made contact with Koshaun Mack and took him into custody without incident.
Authorities said Mack was also wanted on an outstanding warrant out of New Castle County Family Court.
During the search, officers reported recovering ammunition, a loaded 9 mm magazine, and approximately 1.31 fluid ounces of phencyclidine (PCP).
According to police, Mack has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, and failure to re-register as a sex offender, in addition to the outstanding warrant.
Police stated he was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,200 secured bail.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
