Police Seek Public Help After Teen Shot on Walnut Street

WILMINGTON, DE — Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance following a shooting that left a teenage girl injured Wednesday afternoon in Wilmington.

According to Wilmington Police, the shooting occurred at approximately 4:19 p.m. on April 8 in the 1400 block of North Walnut Street.

Police reported that officers located a 17-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing, and additional details have not been released.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Douglas Rivell at (302) 576-3633.
