BERWYN, PA — Sow Good Now will host its fifth annual baseball GiveBack event in partnership with Philadelphia Baseball Training (PBT) Bell Ringers on Wednesday, July 23, bringing together young athletes and underserved youth for a day of mentorship, instruction, and community building.

The event will take place at the Field of Dreams (927 Howellville Rd.) in Berwyn from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will provide 50 children from Sunrise of Philadelphia, an out-of-school program, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball. Participants, ranging in age from six to twelve, will receive complimentary baseball gloves and personalized coaching from middle and high school players affiliated with PBT.

Founded in 2018, Sow Good Now is a nonprofit organization that connects student-athletes with youth from underserved communities. Its mission is to foster relationships, teach philanthropy, and inspire long-term civic engagement through sports. The organization has made a lasting impact across Philadelphia, Chester, and Delaware counties by promoting a model of service that blends athletic mentorship with a commitment to giving.

Sow Good Now’s events are structured around its “Four T’s” framework—time, talent, treasure, and ties—encouraging young athletes to contribute not just skills but also their presence and values. The baseball GiveBack is designed to introduce the sport to children who may not otherwise have access, while simultaneously fostering leadership and empathy in student-athlete mentors.

The July 23 event is part of Sow Good Now’s broader strategy to build bridges through athletics and cultivate a new generation of socially conscious athletes. For many of the children participating, it will be their first experience on a baseball field—and the start of a meaningful connection to both the game and their community.
