PHILADELPHIA, PA & MADISON, WI — ZeroEyes and Singlewire Software have announced a partnership aimed at enhancing school safety by integrating AI gun detection with mass emergency communications. The collaboration has already been adopted by Glassboro Public School District (GPSD) in New Jersey, marking the first deployment of the joint solution.
The integration connects ZeroEyes’ AI-powered gun detection system with Singlewire’s InformaCast incident management platform. When ZeroEyes detects a potential firearm, alerts are validated by its operations center and then automatically trigger InformaCast to broadcast customized notifications across digital signage, PA systems, strobe lights, desk phones, and other channels. The result is faster, more coordinated emergency communication that reaches targeted groups in real time.
“Shootings typically last only five to seven minutes, so every second counts,” said Terry Swanson, president and CEO of Singlewire Software. “By integrating ZeroEyes’ AI-based detection with our mass notification platform, we help schools take fast, decisive action.”
Glassboro Public Schools, which serves nearly 2,000 students and 350 staff across six facilities, has made safety and mental health a priority. The district uses digital monitoring tools to flag concerning communications and conducts joint emergency training with law enforcement. Assistant Superintendent Craig Stephenson said the combined ZeroEyes-Singlewire system provides “a critical new layer of protection.”
ZeroEyes’ technology works by layering onto existing security cameras. If a firearm is detected, its operations center — staffed around the clock by military and law enforcement veterans — verifies the threat and delivers actionable intelligence, including weapon type and last known location, to first responders within seconds.
“This integration with Singlewire is a powerful example of how two technologies can complement each other to enhance school safety,” said Mike Lahiff, CEO and co-founder of ZeroEyes. “While ZeroEyes provides the critical early detection of a potential threat, Singlewire enables that intelligence to be instantly delivered across a wide range of devices and formats.”
Singlewire’s InformaCast platform is widely used across education, healthcare, government, and enterprise settings, serving more than 2,000 K-12 districts nationwide. The partnership with ZeroEyes expands its role in security-focused applications, reinforcing a trend toward integrated safety systems in U.S. schools.
