BENSALEM TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming nighttime milling and paving operations on Rockhill Drive as part of a $116 million initiative to enhance U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
From Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, construction crews will be working between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM nightly on Rockhill Drive, spanning the area between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard. To accommodate the work, a single lane will be closed with flaggers managing traffic flow throughout the affected area.
This operation is a critical element of PennDOT’s broader efforts to reconstruct, widen, and modernize a three-mile stretch of U.S. 1 in the county, aimed at improving both traffic capacity and roadway safety.
Drivers traveling through the construction zone are advised to plan for delays and allow extra travel time due to potential backups. Officials have emphasized that all scheduled activities are dependent on favorable weather conditions.
